Level 4 / Diagnostic & Training Technician Job Description – BAM! Automotive

Level 4 Technician at BAM! Automotive. This individual is proficient in all areas of the previous levels of service and can perform all related tasks. In addition to these technical responsibilities, this role may include Diagnostic and Training Technician duties as approved by ownership and at their discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• All Level 1 - 3 responsibilities have been mastered.
• Competency is all level is required
• Assess the training needs of automotive technicians through observation, evaluation, and feedback, tailoring training programs accordingly.
• Stay current with advancements in automotive technology, industry best practices, and manufacturer-specific procedures, incorporating this knowledge into training content.
• Provide one-on-one coaching and support to technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and complex repair problem-solving.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure training objectives align with organizational goals.
• Monitor technician progress and performance throughout training, identifying improvement areas and providing additional training as necessary.
• Maintain training equipment and materials to ensure a safe, effective, and organized work/learning environment.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among technicians, promoting certification and career advancement opportunities.
• Document all training activities, attendance, performance evaluations, and outcomes to ensure accountability and compliance with requirements.

Work Environment

This position requires expert-level technical knowledge, leadership, and mentorship within the shop environment. Level 4 Technicians serve as role models, guiding others while performing high-level diagnostics and repairs with precision and consistency.
